Ways of Giving

The saying it 'takes a village to raise a child' applies here as it takes the generosity of many to make our school work. Whether you are volunteering time to read with our elementary students, collecting boxtops or making a financial contribution please know your support 'makes a difference' for our students. Thank you!

Volunteers - Do you have a special skill to share with students? Do you have some time in your day? We always welcome an extra hand when offered. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator Lisa Gillin @ 263-4898 ext. 10 if you can help.

Financial Aid Fund - Each year we give approximately $65,000 away in financial aid through two important sources. The first is Sister Anthonita's At-Risk Scholarship Fund. Sister Anthonita, the founder of our Montessori Children's House, donates the proceeds from her speaking engagements, to her scholarship fund to help pay tuition for preschool children of families in need. Community supporters also contribute to this fund which provides families with $30,000 in tuition for our Montessori program. The second source of financial aid dollars come from the school's annual Gala. Contributions to this fund help make it possible for families to send their children to our school.

Endowment - Our endowment currently stands at $800,000. Our Investment Board oversees it's management. Currently it yields revenues of $30,000 annually which makes-up 8% of our annual budget.

Hi, First grade is fun!

From Andrew

Dear Monica and Terri,

Andrew wanted to write you a little note, so Michelle and I wanted to add a letter of thanks along with it. Teachers do not get the credit they deserve. We recently attended Andrew's first grade conference. He is reading at a late 2nd early 3rd grade level, his spelling and penmanship are great along with his math skills which are at the top of the class. The thing that is most important from all this is his eagerness to learn which he gained from the two of you. Thank you for all you did for Andrew while he was at the Tecumseh Montessori Children's House.
